School nurses are also available for advice regarding school aged children. They are based at South Hornchurch Clinic and can be contacted on 01708 796500.

The Practice Manager ensures that the highest level of care is in place for the patients and ensures the smooth running of the practice which includes patient safety. She is also the first port of call for patient complaints.

Senior Receptionist (afternoon)

Lorraine and Julie are the senior receptionists and ensure the smooth running of the reception team. They work closely with the management team. The reception team will do their best to answer your queries but please remember they are not clinically trained.

We have 10 part time receptionists who are the first members of the practice team that you will meet. They are usually the busiest members of the practice and work under extreme pressure. Their function is to guide you through the practice and to arrange appointments. They often have a difficult job to do and may sometimes need to ask questions about the nature of your illness to assist the doctor in the smooth running of the surgery.

Community Midwives

Antenatal clinics are held on Thursday mornings. Postnatal care is provided for mother and baby at the surgery and at home in cooperation with the doctors.

Community Nurses

We have a team of experienced community nurses, comprised of District Sister, Staff Nurse, Enrolled Nurse and Nursing Auxiliary. The team are available seven days a week from 8.30am to 5pm. They will provide care in your home or at Elm Park Clinic following a comprehensive assessment.

Their services include advice and nursing care to the acute and chronically sick and the terminally ill, specialist leg ulcer treatment, dressings, injections, immunisations, blood pressure checks, taking blood samples, ear syringing, post-operative care, removal of sutures/clips.
